Amanda is a passionate believer in the healing power of relationships. She fosters an emotionally safe space where people feel heard, respected, and valued. Additionally, Amanda sees the mind and body as inextricably linked, utilizing integrative health strategies in therapy. Her holistic framework includes training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), somatic interventions, mindfulness, and resilience. Amanda is also a trained Yoga Teacher and believes strongly in the power movement has in healing.
Amanda works with adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of concerns including trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss and relational issues. Being a therapist is a role Amanda is grateful to embody, as she helps clients on their path of processing past trauma and life circumstances, while co-creating with clients the avenues of healing. Amanda has a specific interest in working with adult women; empowering individuals and groups to live authentically connected to themselves and others. She also provides individual and group supervision to social workers and clinical counselors seeking independent licensure in Minnesota.
In her free time Amanda enjoys yoga, hiking, traveling and spending time with her friends and family. She is a huge Minnesota sports fan and loves to cheer on the Vikings, Timberwolves and Lynx.
