Andy’s work as a therapist was precluded by many years working in corporate, non-profit, higher education ,and the substance use disorder (addiction) fields. Regardless of the setting, he found himself passionate about listening to others stories, which led him to wanting to work full time in being with others as they navigate their lives. Andy sees therapy as a resource toward healing and flourishing as it supports your deepened authenticity, vulnerability, communication, and honesty.
As a therapist, Andy focuses on getting to know you and cultivating a trusting relational dynamic. You’ll find that Andy can be both direct and honest but in a gentle, kind, and loving manner. He is committed to learning and growing with you. Andy’s intention is that in every session you feel seen, heard, and safe and he is an ally for women, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC persons.
If you are a human and breathe air, Andy would love to work with you. However, he does have a few areas of focus that might resonate with the work you want to do. These areas include: improving relationships (with yourself, partners, friends, couples, or family,) anxiety, depression, grief and loss, sexuality, sexual intimacy, men’s issues along with helping develop a non-toxic masculinity, mental performance coaching (sports related), and so many other areas.
Andy loves being with his spouse, Sara and their little human Josie. He also enjoys spending time with his seemingly always a puppy “Blue.” Andy really enjoys working with his hands making things out of wood and using his creative side to come up with new ideas and projects. Fall is his favorite season, so good luck finding him in his spare time, not in nature enjoying the colors and smells of October. Oh yeah, baseball! Andy mostly enjoy sports if it is baseball or women’s soccer.
We'll work with you every step of the way. We focus on the whole person, rather than on specific issues and see self-discovery as an active multi-sensory process. Ready to begin? Request an appointment, and we'll match you with a therapist.
