Before joining the Becoming Together family, Tara spent the last 20 years working as a middle school and high school teacher as well as a licensed school counselor. She was blessed to walk alongside her students and families as they navigated their way through the peaks and valleys of those ever-changing developmental years.
Whether it is working with individuals and families in an educational or clinical setting, Tara’s focus has always been on relationships which start by creating a foundation of trust, comfort, and vulnerability. When that strong foundation settles, the opportunity for growth and healing is immeasurable.
While Tara’s experience with teens and their families has led her to continue that work at Becoming Together, she also has interest in helping families impacted by addiction, individuals who have experienced loss, and young women looking to add chapters of strength, change, and self-love to their own stories.
In addition to her passion for helping others navigate life, Tara is a lover of family, thrifting, books, old things, a good latte, plants, and the outdoors.
We'll work with you every step of the way. We focus on the whole person, rather than on specific issues and see self-discovery as an active multi-sensory process. Ready to begin? Request an appointment, and we'll match you with a therapist.
